I pressed the button, why doesn’t the can opener stop working?

Simply press the button again to stop it. NOTE: After pressing the button to stop the can opener, it takes approximately 1 second to release the blade. Do not repeatedly press the button to stop, as this may reactivate the opening cycle.

Does it work on different sized or shaped cans ?

Yes, the Kitchen Mama can opener can work on different can sizes including pull-ring/pull-tab cans as well as rectangular/square/elliptical tins, but won’t work on dented or soda/beer cans.

Does it include batteries ? What kind of batteries are needed?

No, the can opener doesn’t include batteries. Please use 4 AA alkaline batteries for Auto & One-Touch can opener, and 2 AA alkaline batteries for Mini.

How do I clean the can opener?

Our can openers have minimal food contact, so it’s unnecessary to clean it under normal circumstances.

To clean, remove the batteries first and wipe with a damp towel.

DO NOT submerge under water, rinse under running water, or place in a dishwasher.

How did you come up with the idea for this product?

It began as a family effort to help make life easier for Mama Ola, because she was having hard time in the kitchen with her arthritic hands. After brainstorming through many ideas such as ergonomic cutting boards and Star-Trek style utensils, we settled on a cordless electric can opener because that was the most difficult task for her.
